Applicants who have withdrawn from a previous exam or were unsuccessful should apply for a new application within their account on the Board Intranet. If you cannot locate your login credentials, please contact the Board Staff at info@ncoptometry.org.
Exam Application
Please note as part of the exam application process, you will be required to take the North Carolina Jurisprudence and Medical Errors course - available within the licensee/applicant intranet, accessible once you have paid your exam fees. You will not be able to submit your application without successfully completing this course.
Payment may be made in one of two ways:
By Credit/Debit Card/ACH Transfer - $800
Note: Credit/Debit Processing fees (additional cost) is 3.7% or a total of $29.60
eCheck payments (ACH Transfer)- $2.26 per transaction
By Check in the amount $800 made payable to NCSBEO submitted prior to your application. Once received, we will email you the credentials to log in and access your application. Please include your full name, last 4 SSN, email address and mailing address in your application request.

Optometry college/university transcripts showing date degree was conferred (official). i.e. you must have already graduated with your O.D. degree to apply for this exam
