Applicants who have withdrawn from a previous exam or were unsuccessful should apply for a new application within their account on the Board Intranet. If you cannot locate your login credentials, please contact the Board Staff at info@ncoptometry.org.
Please note as part of the exam application process, you will be required to take (1) The North Carolina Jurisprudence and Medical Errors course and (2) 2024 Jurisprudence Update - both of which are available within the licensee/applicant intranet, accessible once you have paid your exam fees. You will not be able to submit your application without successfully completing these courses.
When submitting payments to the North Carolina State Board of Examiners in Optometry, the following options are available:
By Credit/Debit Card/ACH Transfer – $1,000
Processing fees apply: 3.7% (an additional $37)
eCheck (ACH transfer) payments are $2.26 per transaction
By Check – $1,000

Submit prior to your application. Once received, credentials will be emailed to you so you can log in and access your application.
