The schedule of examinations through 2016 has been approved by the North Carolina State Board of Examiners in Optometry. The examination dates may be expanded or contracted depending upon the number of applications received by the Board for that particular examination.

Unless otherwise notified by the Board within ten days of the date of the examination, all examinations will be held at the Jane McKimmon Center for Continuing Education on the campus of North Carolina State University, Western Boulevard, Raleigh, North Carolina. Any application received after the application deadline will be returned to the individual making application.

The scheduling of the winter examinations is conditioned upon the number of applicants for the examination. If there are less then ten (10) eligible applicants on the date of the application deadline, the applicants will be deferred until the next regularly scheduled examination.
